Update November 2024: still love this company but wanted to update my review to say my recent technician, Clayton, was so nice and helpful. Getting repairs can be really stressful so having a kind, professional tech like Clayton makes the experience so much better. Highly recommend.Great Dane Heating and Cooling techs are always so courteous and professional. My most recent experience with them (Drew and Carlos) was a repair on my hvac which had been improperly leveled by the original installers (Randazzo - who I do not recommend). They were efficient and I will go with them whenever I need any other kind of repair or maintenance.

I had a new furnace installed today and the installers were awesome. Cody is very professional and kind. I would recommend him highly. Great work ethic as well!!! The job turned out great and he explained everything I needed to know very clearly. Thank you so very much Cody and his apprentice was just as wonderful as Cody. Happy thanksgiving to all of you at Great Dane!!I had Great Dane out today to fix a leaking issue with my new furnace and Nick fixed me up. Was a little puzzled as to why the crew that installed the new furnace did not have the pipe done correctly. Thank you so much Nick for fixing the issue. Nick was very professional and answered all my questions and concerns. He also explained how a small piece of equipment can be used to detect water and I am having it installed. I hope Nick is the installer on this next appt. Thank you Nick I really appreciate you!!My experience with Cody is a little unsure. He was professional and sure of all he did for me. I am grateful but when I had to have another tech come out the day after thanksgiving because my furnace was leaking water and found out it was because a pipe was not done correctly which caused a huge leak I was not happy about that. A furnace is a huge investment to me and should be done correctly and not in a hurry. I do appreciate the Great Dane team but I hope I do not have to call again for a long time. Thank you all for what you have done for me.

Every experience I have had with Great Dane has been stellar. Today was my second furnace installation and first A/C install. Rob, Nick, Lance, and Joe were polite, prompt, courteous, professional, easy to interact with, and left my home the way they found it. I’ve been so pleased with this company and their professionalism for the past 20+ years that I recommended them to my parents, who also had a fantastic experience!

Kyle was on time and terrific with my dog. (She barks a lot). Our regular maintenance went smoothly. Great Dane sends you a picture of your technician for security. With everything that is going on today, it sure is a comfort to know who is coming into your home.

Very professional service as far as the repairs go. I am disappointed that I had to spend $1400 to replace a pump and other items on a boiler less than 10 years old. But that is not Great Danes fault.

Update: 11-19-2024Another great repair done by Kyle and Adam. Hard to believe the little 5x12 inch pump attached to the bottom side of the furnace for draining condensation and the humidifier can cause the furnace to shut down, wifi thermostat and all.They provide the Best Trustworthy Service!Great Dane has provided top notch installation and service for our family for close to 22 years.The reason: They have the edge because of their perfect service and years of experience!They have always shown up on time, are very professional and explain everything they are going to do entirely. The servicers show up with a uniform of sorts so you know they are from Great Dane.They always install the correct parts to insure that you get the most out of your equipment. The furnace and air are the most important appliances in your home and these guys will insure that everything is working properly.Unlike the fridge or dishwasher your family could be in danger if your furnace isn't properly maintained!I know they do it right because 4 visits in 13 years is great, especially in harsh Michigan weather. (2 of the visits were for the replacement of very old equipment in 2 different homes!)VERY IMPORTANT: I highly recommend a service plan that is included in my electric bill (for a small monthly fee) through my energy company that they can bill directly. Since they are a Service Direct company NO money comes out of my pocket!

Devin from Great Dane was the Best! I started with the Great Dane Home Water Inspection. Then Devin identified Plumbing that was broken, not up to code, or could be improved. From that we identified several repairs/ upgrades. Then a week later, Devin came back and fixed My Plumbing issues. After the Repairs, Devin cleaned up Thoroughly and Walked me through his work. It was Money well Spent and I sleep better at Night with My New Sump Pump and Backup System.

Nick and Drew were very professional,kind and respectful. Put down rugs on the carpet as they were in and out of the house alot. Very easy to communicate with. I have used Great Dane in the past with all great experiences. I will definitely continue to do business with them. Had a new furnace and AC unit installed and cleaned up everything. Nick provided an in-depth inspection for me today! We went through a lot of questions and answers and helped me change my humidifier filter, which has been stuck for a few years! I’ll be back there next time I need an inspection and look forward to working with them when the time comes for managing breakdowns/replacement of the furnace.

“My 93 year old mother needed a new furnace, in December, in Michigan. They came out when scheduled, ran into a problem we resolved the next day. Then it took 2 weeks with this elderly woman having no heat at all to get the installation done. No sense of urgency knowing she was without heat. Two weeks! Would never recommend this company. Their lack of concern for this elderly woman was overwhelming. And even after all that, when they said it was working and mom finally had heat, she didn't. They installed the furnace with the wrong wires and had to send someone else to fix it. Can't wait until summer to see what they messed up on the air conditioner. Do yourself a favor and hire anyone else.”
